Benefits of RTK
NOTE: This calculator is intended to give a little insight into the savings possible when upgrading to the new SF6000 Receiver. The target is to save enough width pass to pass that it adds up to a section width by the end of the field. This tool only calculates input reductions and does not cover the other benefits and farming practices enabled by RTK signal. All calculations are based on an ideal quarter section. If the technology is not repeatable, trampling calculations use a capable driver that averages 6 inches of trampling while operating. Land overlap conditions consider that SF3 is a far noisier signal with worse vertical accuracy than RTK, Overlap numbers also take into account the far improved performance of the 6000 receiver over 3000. Thus the values used for overlap are: 6000/SF1 -> 0.5 ft, 6000/SF3 -> 0.1 ft, and the clean 6000/RTK signal uses 0 ft of overlap in flat ideal flat land conditions. All green boxes require input and some example data is already input to start. Simply select No if you do not want to include certain inputs into the calculations.
